These beauties have been imported from the US in original 1961
condition. We were contacted about the vehicles that they had purchased on the
last trip to the US, and from there left it in our capable hands to fully
import these cars on his behalf.
The owner’s vision for these cars is to bring a vehicle out
of the 1960’s into the modern era while retaining and respecting this iconic
car. Custom builds on both cars; the plan is custom rebuilds rather than
restoration.
Both cars will be a full rotisserie rebuild. Stripped back
to bare bones, and completely rebuilt from the ground up. Both cars will be
going through an extensive process of body work, starting with stripping back
and repairing the last 50 years. Panels will be repaired and aligned with precision
from our quality tradesman. All fabrication and modifications are done in house
allowing us to work to the owners specifications.
Engine will be upgraded to a 572 tall block Chev. The owner
has a very clear specification for the engine from horse power rating to how
the engine is dressed.Bayside Customs
has engaged Kelvin Black of CDA Engineering to work in conjunction with us on
this project.
In line with the customers spec about bringing the cart into
the modern era late model components will be fitted including, big brake
upgrade, air bag suspension, air conditioning and custom boot compartments with
state of the art sound systems with in built reversing cameras.
Our in house trimming specialist will work closely with the
owner to complete a full custom interior re-trim, including new carpet
throughout the entire vehicle, leather seats with reconstructed foams, door
panels, headlining. Whilst a great deal of components is to be replaced,
anything that we do re-use is fully refurbished to new condition.
